Tour of Homes- Emma's Room

Emma's rocking chair from Gramps and Grammy (for her 1st b-day), a Strawberry Shortcake blanket made by Aunt Beene, and her Princess chair

Emma's 3 favorite animals :Hannah Monelephant (Build-A-Bear), Hello Kitty (Build-A-Bear), and Minnie Mouse, and her 3 favorite books: Purplicious, Pinkalicious, and Catalina Magdalena Hoopensteiner Wallendiner Hogan Logan Bogan Was Her Name

Emma's board with some of her favorite things: VBS crafts and pics, class picture, picture with Momma, Emma, Dolly Dophin, and Shamu, picture holding Mac in the hospital, picture of her and Mikayla, birthday cards, "I milked a cow" sticker, and "Big Sister" sticker

Wall opposite her bed...dresser, tv, baby highchair and double stroller (for Annabelle and Mikayla) and her shoe basket. The big picture on the wall is the alphabet cross-stitched by Memaw. The pic below it says "The princess has arrived" and has a pic of Emma sleeping.

Emma's bed. The small white pillow on the left is one Memaw made her to take to preschool for naptime.

A view of Emma's room from the doorway

The corner with the easel. The other side is a white board.

Emma's bookshelf with LiteBrite, books, and princess lamp

Emma's shelf with her "horoscope" Barbie (yes, she has red hair!!), a picture of her and Mac (the frame says "Brand New Big Sister), a picture of her Daddy that we kept beside her when he was deployed to Iraq, her birthday dolls, and her Gymnastics crystal trophy.

So this post is all about Emma's room. I have to admit that there is a lot I want to do to this room. I wasn't really sure what to do when we moved in. I bought her bedding (the comforter is reversible. The other side has big flowers), and I used that as inspiration. The walls are stark white, which I want to change. We did find Wallies (which are great) to match the bedding. We used those on two walls. I am debating on what to do to the other two walls...I either want to stripe them with the purple, green, and turquoise, or I am going to just paint them. I really like the idea of the stripes. Her curtains were made by Memaw using the flat sheet that came with the bed in a bag. Emma really wants Tinkerbell bedding, which will match the colorings in the room already, but we told her she has to start sleeping in her bed all the time (yes, she sleeps with Randall and me) before she gets that.
