Bath Time

You just love bath time. I am sure it is because you get to take the belt for your monitor off. You just lay there and soak in all the attention. The one part you don't like is when it is time to get out!! You are so cute when you smile as I wash your hair. I just hope this continues.

11 weeks old

It's hard to believe that you are 11 weeks old. You have been home from the hospital for 6 weeks. I surely was not ready to go back to work the day after Easter. Daddy keeps you on his days off, and the other days, you go to Mrs. Tricia's house. You seem to really enjoy it there. I usually take you to her house, then take Emma to daycare. I can't wait until school is out so I can have both of you at home with me.

Right now, you and Emma are sitting in front of the television watching The Little Mermaid. You are mesmorized by the bright colors. We bought a new tv this week, and the colors are very interesting to you. I have noticed that you really perk up when they are singing on the movie. I always knew you liked music.

You are growing so fast. Even though you haven't been weighed lately, I would assume you are probably around 8 pounds. Of course, your due date was Tuesday, April 17, so you are about the right size. I am so thankful that you are healthy and happy!!!

Easter

Easter was a good but long day. We went to church with Grammy, then went to her house to eat. Emma got to hunt Easter eggs with Mikayla, and you slept most of the day. You looked so cute in your little suit. Late in the afternoon, we went to Grandma's house for a little while. You racked up on the bunny rabbits. Before we know it, you'll be up hunting eggs with Emma and Mikayla.

2 month check-up

It seems we have a little pig on our hands. Dr. Luy was very pleased with Mac today. He weighs 6 pounds, 10 1/2 ounces and is 19 1/2 inches long. We have to take him to the hospital tomorrow for some blood tests to see if we can stop giving him the sodium he has been taking since he came home from the hospital. She said the hernia is still there, but right now it is not of much concern. She said we will watch it for the next couple of months before making a referral to Children's for surgery. His neck control is great. She doesn't seem to think he will have any delays from being premature, which is great!!

2 months old

Mac, you are growing so much. I can't beleive how much you have changed since you were born. I can't believe that you are 2 months old today. Just think, you still aren't supposed to be here with us for 2 more weeks. I guess God had other plans for you, and still has some great things in mind for you yet to come. We go back to see Dr. Luy tomorrow for our 2 month check-up and shots. I dread the shots because I always used to cry when Emma cried, so I will probably do the same with you. I am excited to see how much you weigh. Although you still have long and skinny legs and arms, your face is really starting to fill out. You have little chipmunk cheeks and a little double chin. I guess all the sleeping and eating you are doing agree with you. I am so elated that you are doing so well. Keep it up, little man!!
