Memorial Day

Hayden, Jayden, and Emma in the wagon riding
around the back yard.

Mac and Crystal sitting outside in the shade.

Mac in his pack and play outside on Memorial Day. He enjoyed
being out.
Memorial Day was so much fun. We had a cookout at our house with Steven, Crystal, and Hayden Goff, Jason, Jennifer, and Jayden Knife, and Danny, Jaymie, Erika, and Dylan Hopkins. The guys played washers while the kiddos ran around the back yard playing on the swing set and in the swimming pool. All of us girls just sat around and visited since we NEVER get to do that. We grilled hot dogs and hamburgers for supper. I think everyone had a great time. We will definitely have to do this again some time this summer.

Me and my sissy

I really love my sissy!! She is always giving me kisses and letting me kiss her. Sometimes she holds me. Any time I cry, she rushes over to check on me, or tells Momma and Daddy to check on me. If I am fussy, she sings "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" to me, and I always seem to calm down. I really look up to her. I know in the future we will have our disagreements, but at least for now, we both really like each other.

Pround to be an American!!

With Memorial Day weekend here, Mac and his family want everyone to know that we support our troops, especially those who have given their all for our freedom. We back our troops overseas right now. Uncle Ra-Ra, you are in our thoughts and prayers daily. Happy early birthday!! Wish you could be here to celebrate it with us!! Hooah!!

Mac is now starting to hold his head up much better, especially when he is on his belly. He is not very fond of laying in the boppy pillow at all, but Momma caught him in this position while he was happy enough to have his picture made. He doesn't really like belly time, either, unless it is sleepy time.

Monday, Mac visited Dr. Luy due to the fact that he had a cold. If we don't knock it out now, we will have to postpone surgery. He weighed an amazing 9 pounds, 14 ounces and was 22 inches long!!! Such a long way to come in 4 months!!!

Last day of School for Mommy

Mac got to spend all day Friday at school with his mommy. It was a teacher workday, so he got to hang out in his pack and play while Mommy finished packing up her classroom for the summer. He was in on a trivia game that pitted the "Blockheads", the 5th grade teachers, and the 6th grade teachers all against each other. Unfortunately, the 6th grade teachers came in last. He also got to enjoy lunch time with all the teachers. Even though Ms. Beth isn't real

keen on holding babies, she never misses an opportunity to get Mac out of his "jail" of a carrier. She says I keep him locked up, but I think she just uses that as an excuse to get him out. She is going to hate the fact that I am posting her picture. Hope you all have a great summer!!! I know my family will.

Upcoming Surgery

On June 14, our little Mac will be having surgery to repair a hernia. He will be at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock. He will have to stay in the hospital overnight. This is usually an outpatient surgery, but since he isn't 3 months gestational age (3 months from his due date) they want him to stay for observation. Randall and I both plan on being there with him the entire time. We had to take him the the ER a couple of weeks ago because the hernia was a little harder, and he wasn't having enough bowel movements a day. At that time, he weighed 9 pounds, 5 ounces, so we know he is growing. Please keep Mac in your prayers.

The Baby Bed

Today I took my first nap in my baby bed. Momma is trying to get me to sleep in there a little more. Once my monitor is gone, I am going to try to sleep in there at night. While I still have the monitor, I sleep beside Momma's side of the bed so she can get to me quickly if I have an alarm.

My First Playdate

I had my first playdate on Saturday. Momma had a class reunion meeting, and Martha brought Drew over. Drew is only 2 weeks older than me. I am working on catching up with him. Although we didn't do much "playing," our moms did get us to lay beside each other to take a couple of pictures.

3 Months Old

I can't believe you are 3 months old already. Time sure is flying. In a few more days, Momma will be finished with school for the summer. We will have a lot more time to do things as a family, and I can't wait.

Daddy took you to see Dr. Luy on Monday because you had been very congested for a few days. Luckily, you don't have RSV. She did have 3 confirmed cases the week before. You now weigh 8 pounds, 9 ounces. If you had made it full term, you probably would have been an 8 pounder.

You are doing everything that a 3 month old child should be doing. You are holding your head up, pushing around, and trying to roll over. Apparently, you are a stubborn one. You don't want to do anything like a preemie should do. In reality, you are only 3 weeks old (according to your due date). I am so excited that you are keeping up with children your age!!

Me and My Big Sister

Emma just loves her little brother. She is always giving you kisses and hugging you. She thinks she is big enough to hold you all the time. Of course, she makes us a nervous wreck when she does hold you because she likes to move you around. She is a proud big sister.
