July 4 Part 1: Family Reunion

Happy Late 4th of July to everyone. Our day was pretty busy, but we had lots of fun. It was filled with family, good friends, and good food. I had so many pictures I wanted to post, I am going to make 2 entries about our day.

Every July 4th, the Martin family has their family reunion. It is potluck so everyone brings a dish (or two or three or four) and we have good food and good fellowship. We took a cake and a Boston Butt that Randall smoked. This year the reunion was at Bethel Baptist Church outside of Bald Knob. We got there a little before 11. The kids had a great time running around in the gym. We ate and watched a slide show of old pictures. We ended up leaving a little before 2. Mac was exhausted since it was WAY after his naptime. He slept all the way home, so I put him in his bed when we got home and made Emma lay down for some quiet time. I went back in Mac's room to check on him about 30 minutes later, and he was standing up in his crib (yes, he's still there) jumping up and down, so we got both kids ready and headed across the street for our next outing.
