Trip to Branson with Grammy

A couple of weeks ago, Grammy and I loaded up Emma and Mac and went to Branson for the weekend. Daddy and Gramps were in Mt. View turkey hunting, so we decided we needed to get away too!! We left about 4:00 on Friday afternoon. When we got to Branson, we checked into our hotel and then headed out to the Factory Shoppes Mall so the kids could get down and walk a little before we ate dinner. After that, we headed to Red Lobster for supper, then headed back to the room for the night. On Saturday morning, we went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast, then headed out to Silver Dollar City. We didn't have much on the agenda other than to let the kids ride rides, and that they did!! After we left SDC, we went back to the room to attempt a nap, but that didn't work, so we took the kids out to the little play area by the hotel. We shopped a little at Tanger Mall. We had dinner at Hard Luck Diner, then headed out to see the show Noah (with the help from some great friends!!). The show was wonderful! Sunday morning we had breakfast at Golden Corral, messed around a little, and then headed home because Emma and I had children's choir at 4:00. We had a great weekend!! ETA: I forgot to add that we actually ALL jumped on the beds at the hotel Friday when we got there...Grammy reminded me so I could add that!!Emma touching a lobster at Red Lobster.

Cute Shirt!!

Grammy and Aunt Debbie went to Branson together this weekend, and Grammy brought back this cute shirt for Mac. She got it free because one of the shoe stores was raising money for March of Dimes. She told the cashier that her grandson was a preemie, and she got this shirt!! He's wearing it today!

Emma's Reward

We have been struggling most of the year for Emma to keep smiley faces on her conduct folder weekly. We finally told her that if she could go 3 weeks in a row without getting a check, she could get a treat. Well, she could go 2 weeks, but then she would get a check and have to start all over. But this last Monday, she came home with thes....

Dyin' Eggs with Grammy

The night before Easter, Grammy decided to let the kids dye eggs at her house. We usually don't do this at our house because I'm not keen on the smell of the vinegar (nor do I like the mess). Never fear, though!! Emma and Mac never miss out on this experience. They dye eggs either at Gramps and Grammy's house or at Grandma's house!!Grammy getting things ready!

Chandler's Birthday Party

Emma decided to go to Chandler's birthday party instead of going to the church Easter egg hunt. The party was at Thrills on Wheels, our local skating rink. I think they had a great time. Emma even got better at skating while she was there. When I picked her up, she had to show me how she could go to the middle of the rink by herself!! I'm thinking we may have to add the skating rink onto our list of summer outings!!

Church Easter Egg Hunt

The Saturday before Easter we had our church Easter egg hunt. Emma had a conflict. Her best friend, Chandler, was having her birthday party at the same time. Emma chose to go to the birthday party, but since I'm on the children's committee at church, she went out to help me set up. Mikayla and Gramps met us at the hunt.

Meeting Miya

The Friday before Easter we were finally able to meet the newest member of our family. Randy, Irene, Mikayla, and Miya came down for Easter weekend. Friday, the kids got to play for a while, and the men went fishing. After they returned, we all headed out to Fuji's for dinner.

I am behind. My blogging hasn't been so good the last few weeks. Now I am off to pick up the kids from Grandma's, but hopefully tonight I can blog about Easter and Branson!!
