Finally...18 month clothes!!

We finally had to go up to 18 month clothes!! Mac can still wear some 12 month tops, but the pants were just too short. Of course, the 18 month stuff is still large, but it's better than being too small!! I am so excited. This shows that he is catching up to were he should be.

Get Down Downtown

Searcy held its first annual "Get Down Downtown" last Saturday. After a quick trip in the morning to the Rhea Lana consignment sale in Conway, Emma, Mac, and I made our trek out to the festivities. They had lots of interesting things for the kids to do. They had a huge slide and jump house, and they also had face painting. A former student of mine, Emma Howard, painted a butterfly on my Emma's face. Most of the fun for the kids was held in Spring Park. We spent most of our time actually playing on the equipment at the park. Emma got to show me how she had learned to go across the monkey bars. She is growing so fast...I can't believe we'll start kindergarten next year!!! Mac enjoyed just running around. After a while, he got tired and just sat in his stroller and watched Emma and Job Thomas (a friend from school who showed up while we were playing). We went home to let the kids rest and to wait for Randall to get home from deer camp. Later that evening, we went back down to the court square for a Billy Dean concert. It was great. There were lots of people out with their lawn chairs, and Billy showed up with just his guitar...no band. It made it nice to be able to recognize that he still has his same old voice!! Emma fell asleep right after he started singing, but Mac was all fired up. He kept making circles around his stroller and the chair that Gramps was sitting in. Needless to say, he was ready to crash when we got home!! All in all, we enjoyed the first annual Get Down Downtown celebration and hope that it continues for several more years!! It's always nice to have something "free" to do!!

FOOTBALL!!

You absolutely love it...my favorite thing you do is while watching football. Someone will say "touchdown" and you run around with your arms up in the air just like a football ref!!

19 months old

Ok, so technically, you are abou 19 1/2 months old. You think you are such a big boy now...you love to stand on the stool in the bathroom and brush your teeth. Your big sister actually taught you how to do this. You weigh 23 pounds, 6 ounces, and are running all over the place. You laugh at everything. Your favorite word...Daddy (I guess Mommy will get over that!!) Your favorite thing to play...football. You love to watch Wiggles and Higglytown Heroes in the morning while we get ready to go to Miss Renee's (Nay-Nay) for the day. You also like to sit with Daddy in his camo recliner and watch football and hunting. You like to watch for the "Big Deer." We are so blessed that we have finally found you a great baby-sitter. You love Nay-Nay, and you reach for her every morning when I drop you off. As long as she is standing up, you never cry. We love you, little miracle!!

White County Fair, 2008

We decided to venture out to the fair on Tuesday. Tuesday night is always free night and armband night, so needless to say, it was very crowded and busy. We decided to park in the back of the fairgrounds and come in by all the animals to avoid the rides. The kids got to look at all the horses, cows, chickens, ducks, and turkeys. After looking at the animals, we decided to get a bite to eat. Emma and Mac rode the ponies...Emma loved it, but Mac hated it. They got to pet all the animals in the petting area...everything from cows to goats to sheep. They even milked a cow...Emma's been asking for 2 weeks when she would get to milk a cow. Overall, we have a great experience...Randall and I are going back tomorrow night to work in the church booth.

Caps

After fighing Mac to get him to wear a cap, he has decided in the last week that he loves them. He even wore Emma's Dora the Explorer cap around the house all afternoon one day. This is him trying to put on Daddy's cap while walking around the house saying, "Daddy, Daddy!!" Isn't that sweet?!!

Just Chillin'

Mac has figured out the Emma's camo recliner is just his size. He loves to climb up in it to watch his cartoons (Blue's Clues, Yo Gabba Gabba, and Diego). In this pic, he is just pretending to be asleep!!

Little Miss Curly Q

Emma has decided that she really likes to have her hair curly...which is fine by me. She lets me put pink sponge rollers in her hair after she takes a bath, and she sleeps in them all night. I have figured out that if her hair is extremely wet when I roll it, then the curls seem to hold better. I think it just looks adorable.

Cool Dude!!

Mac has decided he LOVES sunglasses. He really likes Daddy's, but he gets very frustrated when they won't stay on because they are too big. He has some of his own, but they are hard to get off and on because they have a strap that goes all the way around his head. He has now decided that Emma's purple and pink sunglasses are the bomb!! He'll wear them everywhere at anytime if you let him.

Water Baby!!

Monday, while I was in the house doing some laundry and cleaning up the kitchen after supper, Randall yelled at me to come outside. Apparently, Randall had used the water hose, and Mac decided to take over. He basically watered all the concrete. Randall turned the water hose off, and that's when Mac stuck it in his mouth. Randall turned it back on a little, and he got a drink. He then threw a fit because Randall turned the water off and didn't turn it back on!! All this after he had gotten in the huge trough we have in the back yard for the dogs' water. He must have really been into water today!!

Just Cheezin'

The title of this entry says it all!!

My wagon and blocks

We bought this for Emma for her first Christmas. She has now passed it down to Mac...it is a wagon with peak-a-boo blocks. He has learned that he can pull it around the house. I can't believe he is growing so fast. He started a new baby-sitter last week, and he loves Miss Renee. She is wonderful...she almost has him completely off the bottle!!!

3 Musketeers

We had a few minutes before time to go to church...they had to have some Daddy time...aren't they cute?

Daddy's Little Helper

We bought a new computer desk for the office...Mac thought he needed to be the one to make sure the screws were put in properly. Needless to say, Momma was not happy that he was playing with real tools, so he now has a tool box of "Handy Manny" tools...and they work just fine.

Burger King

Apparently, Mac is our little "Burger King." We went to eat before church on a Wednesday night a couple of weeks ago...Emma and I decided Mac was old enough for a crown. This is him trying to put it on himself. He wouldn't leave it on long enough for me to get a picture with it on.
