Push Toys

Mac has finally figured out he can ride and push his toys!!! Yeah!! He absolutely loves them.

Mac's new chair

This is Mac in his new Cars chair...Emma has one just like it that is Disney Princess. The other day, Mac was playing around the house. When I went to look for him, he was in Emma's room, sitting in her chair with his arm around one of her babies. It was then I realized it was time to get him a boy chair.

July 4th

On July 4th, we had a cookout at our house. A few of the neighbors came over, along with Randall's mom. We had a great time...and we're glad it finally quit raining. We had hamburgers, hot dogs, chip, dip, and lots of sweets!! Mac really liked the chocolate peanut butter rice krispie treats...he even stole his sister's. That's what he has all over his face in the picture!!

No more for us!!

After much prayer and research about exactly what happened to me when I had Mac 3 months premature, Randall and I have decided that we are not going to have any more children. I still would love to have another, but I know that I need to live for the 2 wonderful blessings I already have. Randall will be going in on July 18 for a vasectomy. The sign in this picture was made and placed in our yard for him to view one night when he got home from work. Two of our neighbors, Gary Tackett and Clay McCammon, worked on this...and Randall got a kick out of it...I dread to see what they are going to do the day he actually has it done!!!

17 months old

It's hard to believe that our little Macker is growing up so fast. He is now 17 months old. He weighed about 20 1/2 pounds last time he went to the doctor, and he was 29 1/2 inches long. He has 8 teeth (and he's a biter...I have bruises on my shoulder to prove it!!) He started taking steps about 2 weeks ago. He still likes to crawl because he is faster at it, and he loves keeping up with Emma. He loves to swim in his wading pool, and he likes just about any type of table food you put in front of him. His favorite snacks are fruit puffs, fruit loops, and graham crackers. He isn't much of a juice drinker, but he does like the Gerber yogurt juices. We tried weening him off the bottle, but he just isn't ready yet. He just figured out how to tip the bottle to get more out of it, so that's still a little hard with the sippy cup. He's still wearing 12 months clothes, but he's growing...Hard to believe he was just a 2 1/2 pounder when he was born!!!

Riverside Park

On a day Randall had off, we decided to take Emma and Mac to Riverside Park to play. We've never done this before because the park has always had less than safe equipment. However, they've recently replaced all the equipment, and it's not nearly as crowded as some of the other parks in town. Mac has learned that he can climb all over the place. He really likes to swing and slide. When we went, he had just started holding on to people's fingers and walking. After playing for a little while, Randall and I took the kids to a place at the park that is very near and dear to our hearts...the first overlook of the river off the paths. This is the place where Randall proposed to me 7 years ago. Emma was so excited that she got to see the place where Daddy asked Momma to marry him.
